Who is HarpersMan

HarpersMan lives in Boise, Idaho, USA and has just released his Debut CD, "A little Different". A Local Indie production with Musicians from the Town (Ben Burdick, Ben Clingan, Jim Monson, Bernie Reilly, Mellissa Wilson) and recorded locally at the Tonic Room by Jason Ringelstetter and Mastered by Chris Parks.

He was born in Middlesbrough, England. He was raised by a hippy mum, and no-collar dad, in a 2up-2down terraced house in this industrial town, where all the characters from the best Brit mob movies are born. He was always “A Little Different”, and during his physics years in a London College, he picked up his first guitar - 22 quid from the bloke next door, and it became his best friend, and his source of inspiration........

Life took its twists and turns and HarpersMan got off the Magical Musical Mystery Bus and drifted down other paths - that paid money - but the music was always there. As time ticked on, so did his determination to share his words and music with the world, so he hopped back on that bus, with a wisdom born of the many mishaps only a full life can deliver. He was ready to ROCK.

The songs of Harpersman are grounded in Dylan like vocals and Harrison like acoustic guitar. Each song is then flavored with REM, Glen Hansard, David Gray, or James Blunt like overtones. The album "A Little Different" spans wintery ballads to summer pop with ease. Calling on piano, cello, mandolin, or Nylon string to compliment the heartfelt lyrics with authentic delivery. The acoustic singer-songwriters original scores are lent a pop/rock edge by the solid, rhythmic drum and bass lines. The hooks will pull you in, but you'll discover more with each listen.
